Management of BRE Corporate Finance
Piotr Gałązka,
President of the Board
Piotr Galazka has been a member of BRE Corporate Finance since the time it was founded in 1991. He has been holding a position of the President of the Board since November 2001.
He completed his master's degree in the Central School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw (currently Warsaw School of Economics) and studied management at the Manchester School of Management.
During his work in BRE CF Piotr Gałązka participated in numerous advisory projects, including privatizations of state-owned companies, M&A transactions (both on the sell-side and the buy-side) and IPO processes. He managed many complex corporate finance projects and supervised numerous projects that encompassed: evaluation of the company's current standing, valuations, business plans for investment projects and raising debt financing for such projects. Within the projects he liaised with the Ministry of the State Treasury, National Investment Funds, state administrative authorities as well as domestic and foreign investors.
Leszek Filipowicz,
Vice President of the Board
Leszek Filipowicz has been a member of BRE Corporate Finance team since 1994. Initially a member of the Management Board, since 1994 he is performing a function of Vice President of the Board. Leszek Filipowicz is a graduate from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Warsaw. He has a Ph. D. in economics. He acted as a consultant of an OECD advisory group on privatizations. He was also granted a Fulbright scholarship at the Tennessee University in the USA.
While working in BRE CF, he took part in and coordinated many projects in the field of strategic and financial advisory. Those included projects concerning restructuring of specific industry sectors (oil industry, iron and steel industry) and complex privatization projects carried out for the Ministry of Treasury and subordinated entities, like Nafta Polska and the Privatization Agency. He participated in negotiations and managed groups of advisors working for both Polish and foreign companies undergoing mergers and acquisitions. He supervised the work of BRE CF teams preparing public offerings on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
